The Language of Trees Photos

Dear Readers, please enjoy this collection of photos from Canandaigua Lake, the unforgettable place that inspired my debut novel The Language of Trees. Here you’ll see the gorgeous willow trees that encircle the lake, the country store I call “O’Connell’s Feed & Grain” (it’s based on Robeson’s for those of you who know the place), the old lakefront cabin where my protagonist, Grant Shongo, returns home, and finally, an old imagined boat stolen by three children on a rainy night.
