The Language of Trees Scenes from Canandaigua
and photos that inspired me
Dear Readers, please enjoy this collection of photos
from Canandaigua Lake, the unforgettable place that inspired my
debut novel The Language of Trees. Here youll see everything
from the gorgeous willow trees that encircle the lake to the country
store I call OConnells Feed & Grain
(it's based on Robeson's for those of you who remember), to the
old lakefront cabin where my protagonist, Grant Shongo, returns
home, to an old imagined boat that was stolen by the three Ellis
children on a rainy nighta night when only two children returned
home.
